WELCOME
Just in time for Halloween, OzProg breaks out the corpsepaint and throws the horns: we've got an two-part interview with Tim Charles of progressive death metal band Ne Obliviscaris for all you fans of the heavier side of progressive music. Charles is involved with many different aspects of the music industry, playing violin and singing for Ne Obliviscaris as well as running the booking agency Welkin Entertainment, and Gary Dickson's interview is a great read for both musicians and music fans alike.
In others news, the end-of-year festival announcements have begun with ATP Festival, Soundwave, Big Day Out and many others revealing their line-ups, and summer is shaping up as a big one indeed. Check out the news headlines on the right for OzProg's coverage of these events.
And if you're in Melbourne, make sure you keep the night of December 27th free for a very special event. I'm not quite ready to reveal what it is, but believe me when I say it's going to be huge! Keep an eye on OzProg.com for more developments.
FEATURED ARTIST - ROOK
With the launch of their latest EP just last week, Melbourne rock band Rook have flagged their intention to move away from the safety of grungy alternative rock and into more progressive, colourful territory.
What Add Colour lacks in length, it more than makes up in passion, energy and creativity. Rook will hit the road nationally with Dead Letter Circus and Melodyssey throughout the rest of 2008, so now is the perfect time to get acquainted with the next big thing in Australian heavy rock.

WANT TO WRITE FOR OZPROG?
We're ramping up our efforts to source high-quality contributors for our website as it continues to grow, so if YOU would like to be involved, please get in touch with us through OzProg.com!
Keep in mind that OzProg is not FasterLouder (as much as we love FL!), and we do have quality and style requirements. If you're capable of stringing some words together and would like free access to some great CDs and gigs, send us a sample of your work and you could be jet-setting around the country in OzProg's private jet! (And by that I mean writing articles for us.)
Until next time,
Bradley Dixon
