WELCOME
So much has been happening with OzProg this month that I almost forgot to haven't had time to send a newsletter!
The exciting news out of Brisbane this month is that Brissie prog fans now have their very own home to go to every month: LIMELIGHT, a new monthly prog night presented by OzProg.com! Bringing together local prog bands, DJs playing all the classics and video projections from Red Tape Pictures, this is one night you don't want to miss. First up are the mighty Arcane, The Kidney Thieves, SkyPi and newcomers Sirinival, tomorrow night (May 30th) at The Globe Theatre! Check the OzProg forum for more information on this month's Limelight and the line-ups for future events.
OzProg is also super stoked to be presenting an east coast tour for two of my personal favourite bands, Bushido and Sleep Parade! Taking in Victoria, New South Wales, the ACT and Queensland, make sure you check out two of the most promising up-and-coming new prog bands in the country when they play a venue near you! More details including local support bands can be found here.
We've also had tour announcements from Opeth, Testament, Judas Priest and Lacuna Coil, and details on new releases by Arcane, Anathema and sigur ros.
Keep checking OzProg.com for all the latest news!
WHAT'S NEW
With the announcement that the classic lineup of Judas Priest will be coming to Australia for the first time ever this year, and the coming release of their epic double concept album Nostradamus, Judas Priest's Glenn Tipton spoke with OzProg's Andrew Saltmarsh about all things prophetic. Read the interview here!
STEVEN WILSON TRANSCRIPT
After transcribing our extended Steven Wilson interview for newsletter subscribers in March, we've now opened it up to the public, so if you know anyone who's a Porcupine Tree fan direct them to www.ozprog.com/newsletter/steven_wilson.php to read the conversation in full.
And then tell them to sign up to this Newsletter!
FEATURED ARTIST - SLEEPMAKESWAVES
Australia has had its fair share of great ambient instrumental rock bands in the past, but leading the push into new territory is Sydney's sleepmakeswaves. Their debut EP in today already walks tomorrow was hotly anticipated by all quarters of Sydney's music scene before its release, but it still managed to exceed expectations.

WIN SHIT!
The cool cats over at Warner Australia have given us a bunch of copies of Disturbed's new album Indestructible to give away. If you want it, simply send an email to newsletter@ozprog.com with your full name and address, and you'll go into the draw!
If you have friends who would like to enter, tell them to sign up for the OzProg Newsletter at www.ozprog.com/newsletter and then send their details to newsletter@ozprog.com. It's that easy!
(Only subscribers to the OzProg Newsletter are eligible to win a copy of the album.)
That's all from me for this edition. Keep an eye on OzProg.com for some exciting developments in the future (especially if you're an Opeth fan!).
Cheers,
Bradley Dixon for OzProg.com
