HORSELL COMMON part ways with drummer

Mere months after releasing their debut full-length album and days before heading off on a national tour to support it, Horsell Common have been rocked by the news that drummer Leigh Pengelly has left the band.

The two remaining members in the band left the following statement on their MySpace page:
So we have some sad news for you all, and that is that we have parted ways with our drummer Leigh Pengelly. Leigh has been in the band since day one, as have the rest of us, but he has decided to move on. But while is a big loss for us, we are definitely going to continue with Horsell Common. Leigh will be doing the next 35 shows with us, right up to his big farewell at our hometown Melbourne show at the Corner Hotel, so you have plenty of chances to see him off. Make sure you come down to the Corner and make it the best farewell anyone could hope for. For the record, we are all still very much best friends, but it was time to move on.

We are currently jamming with new drummers and we’ll be back in full force as though we never missed a beat. Horsell will never die!

Love Mark and Luke
