Nuclear Blast to release metal film soundtrack

> Posted at 14:02 on October 5th, 2007 by Andrew Saltmarsh
While details are still few, Nuclear Blast is set to release the original soundtrack for In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale which is set for release in early 2008.  The film looks to be a large scale fantasy epic, which could very well have the most metal soundtrack ever.

The film stars Jason Statham (Snatch, The Transporter), Ray Liotta (Goodfellas, Cop Land), Burt Reynolds (Smokey and the Bandit, Cannonball Run), Leelee Sobieski (Deep Impact, Joan of Arc) and Ron Pearlman (Blade II, Hellboy) to name just a few.

Directed by Uwe Boll, who has previously been at the helm of films such as House of the Dead and Alone in the Dark,  Boll also directed the Nightwish video "Wish I Had An Angel" in 2004 which would suggest he is not unfamiliar with the metal genre.

The track list is as follows:
1. Farmer´s Son - The Big Battle
2. Blind Guardian - Carry The Blessed Home
3. Hammerfall - The Fire Burns Forever
4. Nightwish - Amaranth
5. HIM - Wings Of A Butterfly
6. Sonic Syndicate - Enclave
7.  Amorphis - The White Swan
8. Avantasia - Lost In Space
9. The Darkness - Dinner Lady Arms
